Caring for the Environment
Adelman Travel has made a pledge to care for the environment through our technology offerings, energy savings, pollution and waste reduction policies, and through our commitment to a greener planet.
Technology Offerings
Adelman Travel offers technologies that reduce pollution and waste by eliminating paper, including:
- ▪ Traveler Security and Data Suite (TSDS) – manages carbon emissions, helps establish carbon offsets and compares green vendors
- ▪ Cliqbook self booking tool – “green” hotel identification and carbon emissions tracking
- ▪ Virtually There – electronically provides trip information
- ▪ Oreceipt – online invoice management tool
- ▪ aApproval, eliminates the need for paper trip authorizations
Energy Conservation
Adelman Travel has implemented the following energy saving initiatives:
- ▪ Headquarters built using energy efficient lighting, windows, and heating/cooling systems
- ▪ Lighting in lesser used areas on motion sensors
- ▪ Lower office lighting levels used in favor of natural sunlight
- ▪ Mandatory shutting off computers at end of work shift

- ▪ Upgrade to more energy efficient computers and recycling of old computers
Pollution and waste reduction
We have implemented several policies to reduce pollution and waste.
- ▪ Recycling of paper, aluminum and toner cartridges
- ▪ Use of green suppliers, including document shredding and cleaning companies
- ▪ High percentage of telecommuting staff
- ▪ Company directed carpool program
- ▪ Electronic scanning of accounts payable invoices.
- ▪ HR self service online, reducing paper consumption
- ▪ Elimination of most office printers in favor of digital senders
- ▪ Installation of filtered water system, resulting in less use of bottled water
Global Awareness
Adelman Travel is a lifetime corporate member of the Global ReLeaf Program through American Forests, a non-profit organization promoting conservation through the replenishing of our forests.
Concern for Our Community
Adelman Travel believes in positively contributing to our community and is committed to doing our part to improve the world we live in. We donate to several local and national charities including the United Way, the United Performing Arts Fund, and the Jewish Federation. Knowing that our children are our future, we also support several children’s charities, including Children’s Hospital, Juvenile Diabetes, Boys and Girls Club, and Toys for Tots.
Feeding the Hungry
Adelman Travel’s employees are actively involved in supporting The Hunger Task Force, a non-profit organization that operates a food bank to feed thousands of hungry people each year. They are also dedicated to working with legislators to improve access to meal programs.
Building Stronger Hearts
Adelman Travel’s employees support the American Heart Association through monetary donations and by walking in the annual Start! Heart Walk.

- ▪ International SOS: Adelman Travel partners with International SOS, the world’s largest medical and security assistance company.
