Adelman Travel Group Celebrates 20 Years in Business

MILWAUKEE – (July 21, 2005) – Adelman Travel Group, Wisconsin’s largest travel agency with headquarters in Glendale, Wis., hosted a very special celebration for hundreds of invited guests for dinner and reception on Wednesday, July 20 at the Milwaukee Art Museum.  The company, which was recently named the 8th largest travel management firm in the country, celebrated 20 years in business.  Since 1985, the company has grown from two employees and one location to over seventy locations, 500 customers and 300 employees. 

CEO Craig Adelman spoke at the celebration and was joined by special guests and speakers including Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle; Dan Garton, executive vice president, American Airlines; Timothy Hoeksema, chairman and CEO, Midwest Airlines; and Timothy Sheehy, president, Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce. 

Proclamations from President Bush, the State of Wisconsin and U.S. Senators were presented at the event.  Several scholarships for Adelman Travel Academy were also announced for potential students who may not otherwise have the opportunity to obtain the education necessary to get started in the hospitality industry.
