Adelman Travel Launches Automated Pre-Trip Approval System
MILWAUKEE – September 25, 2006 – Adelman Travel Group has developed Automated Pre-trip Approval (APT), a proprietary product that provides more travel policy control to corporate clients than ever before. The innovative web-based program allows corporate travel managers the option to review employees’ travel itineraries before automated ticketing. APT can process all travel reservations, including those made through Adelman’s full-service agency or any of the several online booking products available to Adelman Travel’s corporate clients.
Based on a client’s travel policy, APT has the capability to present multiple violations or lost savings opportunities to the approver for air, car and hotel bookings. If for any reason the approver denies the reservation, the end traveler receives an electronic notification with customized reasons for trip denial. The approver also has the ability to add additional comments for both the traveler and travel consultant to view. Adelman Travel’s consultants are notified to assist the traveler in creating an itinerary that is compliant with their employer’s travel policy. Knowing that approvers are busy people, Adelman Travel designed APT to send automatic reminders to the approver, traveler and Adelman Travel consultant to ensure cost protection of pending reservations.
APT is a fully documented program, with historical reports that provide clients the who, what, when and where of each reservation. It has a great amount of flexibility in presenting relevant information to approvers and presents the information in a concise format. APT parameters can include all, a selection of employees or to exempt certain travelers from pre-trip approval. “Classification of travel is an important part of corporate travel and is a standard feature we offer our clients, allowing them to categorize travel through flexible reporting elements for each trip. This is critical information for a client using a pre-trip approval process,” said Ivan Imana, director of technology at Adelman Travel. APT has been fully tested and is available today to all Adelman Travel corporate clients.
