Travel Alerts

American Airlines has again issued waivers for travel to/from/through Managua, Nicaragua due to ongoing civil unrest. This latest waiver includes travel originally scheduled through May 31. Rebooked travel must begin by June 10, 2018.

United is also now offering waivers for travel to Managua through May 25. The carrier is making varying allowances based on when the rescheduled travel will occur.

Current waivers may be further extended or other carriers may follow suit as they evaluate the situation in regards to their operations.

Travelers are advised to not only monitor airline flight status with regards to your specific itinerary but should also monitor the situation on the ground, being on the watch for demonstrations or other situations that could impact your safety or cause disruption.
