Severe weather is predicted for the Gulf Coast area on May 27 & 28 which may impact travel.
Southwest Airlines issued a waiver for the following airports:
New Orleans (MSY)
Panama City (ECP)
Pensacola (PNS)
Travelers holding reservations to/from/through these cities on the corresponding dates may rebook in the original class of service or fly standby (within 14 days of their original date of travel between the original city-pairs and in accordance with Southwest’s accommodation procedures without paying any additional charge.
Other airlines may issue their own waivers as they evaluate conditions in regards to their operations.
Other airports in the region could also be impacted so travelers are advised to monitor airline flight status with regards to your specific itinerary.
