Travel Alerts

Travelers to France should remain alert to local developments as the “yellow vest” movement which started as protest against France’s plans for raising taxes on fuel is not resolved despite the government’s attempts to diffuse the situation.

Airlines are operating normal flight schedules in/out and around France but continue to advise that passengers review ground transportation options and allow plenty of extra time to get to the airport.

All visitors in France are advised to monitor developments to the situation, allow for extra time to reach their destinations, and avoid all protests as some have been violent. Travelers should also be alert to similar demonstrations outside of France as protestors sympathetic to the yellow vest cause have staged their own protests in other locations.
