Winter Storm Gia will spread a swath of snow and some ice from parts of the Rockies, Plains and Midwest to the mid-Atlantic into this weekend, making travel a challenge.
Some airlines have issued waivers as follows:
United: Travel Jan. 11 to Aspen, Colorado Springs, Denver, Durango, Grand Junction, Gunnison, Hayden, Montrose/Telluride, Pueblo and Vail/Eagle
Travel January 11-12, to Cape Girardeau, Cincinnati, Columbia, Dayton, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Lexington, Louisville, Quincy, Springfield, St. Louis
Frontier: Travel Jan. 11 to Denver and Colorado Springs
Delta: Travel Jan. 11-12 to Kansas City and St. Louis
Southwest: Travel Jan. 11-12 to Kansas City and St. Louis
Jan. 12-13 to Indianapolis and Cincinnati
Other airports could also be impacted by this storm as it continues to develop and other carriers may also offer waivers.
