Unions representing the pilots of Brussels Airlines have served a strike notice for May 14 and May 16, 2018.
Brussels Airlines is allowing passengers to change or cancel their flight free of charge if originally booked on May 14 or 16 regardless of whether the flight is actually canceled. Rebooked travel must begin by June 30, 2018. Brussels Airlines said it will post a list of flights that will be operated on the strike dates at https://www.brusselsairlines.com/en-be/misc/alert-message.aspx.
United Airlines also issued waivers for travel to/from/through Brussels airport scheduled May 13-16. Rebooked travel must begin by May 24, 2018.
Other carriers may follow suit as they evaluate the situation in regards to their operations.
