Travel Alerts

Following recent events including the decision by the US Federal Aviation Administration to restrict US airline operations in Iranian-controlled airspace along with continued partial restricted airspace over Pakistan, airlines are facing additional operational challenges which may cause schedule changes or cancellations for flights routed through the Middle East.

United Airlines announced that it is suspending its service between India (Mumbai and Delhi) and New York/Newark until September 1. The carrier is contacting customers to assist with changes or refunds.  United is also remaining in close contact with relevant government authorities in regards to other flights that could be impacted by airspace closures.

Air India has also altered some of its schedules to/from U.S. cities including Chicago, New York, and Washington D.C.

Other airlines including Emirates, Etihad and KLM have taken precautionary measures to reroute flights away from areas of possible conflict including Iranian-controlled airspace.

Travelers should reconfirm flights and watch for possible schedule changes leading up to their travel dates.
