Travel Alerts

Dangerous wildfires in both Southern California and the Bay area are impacting travel.  Airlines including Alaska, American, Delta, Hawaiian, JetBlue, Southwest and United have issued waivers. Some international carriers including Aeromexico, Air Canada, KLM and SAS for example are also offering flexible rebooking policies. An updated list of airports covered under these waivers (depending on the carrier) include:

Burbank (BUR)
Los Angeles (LAX)
Long Beach (LGB)
Oakland (OAK)
Ontario, California (ONT)
Orange County (SNA)
Fresno – Yosemite (FAT)
Sacramento (SMF)
San Francisco (SFO)
San Jose (SJC)

Most airlines have extended their original waivers to various dates up to Nov. 20 at this point depending on the carrier.  Other airports may be affected and other airlines may also offer waivers.    Check with your airline or your Adelman travel consultant for specific rebooking and cancelation options.

Some hotels in or near affected areas are closed either voluntarily or due to mandatory evacuation orders. Other hotels remain open but may be offering flexible rebooking options.

Travelers are advised to closely monitor conditions on the ground as evacuation zones are subject to change at any time. Travelers should also reconfirm all aspects of your travel plans.

Please contact your Adelman travel consultant for additional information.
