Some airlines have issued waivers due to the effects of major earthquakes which were felt on Indonesia’s islands of Bali, Lombok and the Gili Islands as follows:
Air Asia is offering its customers the choice between three different service recovery options for passengers originally scheduled to fly to Bali or Lombok through August 10, 2018.
Cathay Pacific/Cathay Dragon is now offering a waiver for travel originally scheduled through Aug. 14. New reservations should be confirmed by Aug. 14 but replacement travel can occur through Sept. 14, 2018. No-show passengers are not eligible for the waiver.
KLM has updated its waiver to now included travel to Bali’s Denpasar originally scheduled through August 20. Rebooked travel should be confirmed by August 22 with travel occurring by August 29, 2018.
Silk Airlines’ waiver covers travel to Lombok through August 10. Rebooked travel should occur by August 31, 2018.
Travelers are advised to not only check with their airlines for the latest flight information but should also monitor the situation on the ground as damage has been reported which could impact your plans.
