Travel Alerts

Urgent runway work at Catania Fontanarossa Airport will cause a significant reduction in the number of take-offs and landings of flights operated by all airlines serving Catania’s airport through Mar.20.

Alitalia has reduced the number of daily flights between Catania and Rome Fiumicino, Milan Linate, Venice and Bologna airports during the work. Alitalia is rebooking passengers affected by cancellations onto the first available flights in the same day.

Alitalia travelers affected by cancellation or schedule change (if the delay on departure exceeds 5 hours) on flights to and from Catania through Mar. 20th can rebook their travel at no additional cost or penalty, or ask for a full ticket refund.

Other impacted carriers may also be offering flexible rebooking policies.

Check with your airline or your Adelman travel consultant for specific rebooking or cancelation options in regards to these waivers.

Travelers are advised to monitor airline flight status with regards to your specific itinerary.

Please contact your Adelman travel consultant for additional information.
