Culiacan was under siege after the Mexican government captured the son of former Sinaloa cartel leader known as “El Chapo”. The Mexican government has since released El Chapo’s son to end the violence.
Aero Mexico is still offering change waivers for flights to/from Culiacan through Oct. 22 for travelers who may want to change their travel plans.
These waivers could be extended and other airlines may also offer flexible rebooking.
