Travel Alerts

Due to forecasted winter weather April 16 travel to/from/through the Northeast may be affected.

Airlines including American, Delta, Southwest and United have issued waivers for travel originally scheduled on April 16, 2018. Each airline’s waiver includes different airports. For example Delta’s waiver currently just covers New York City and closely surrounding airports while Southwest and United have issues waivers for airports from Philadelphia up through Maine. Rebooked travel dates also vary, ranging from April 19, 2018 to Southwest’s standing 14 days from the original booking date.

Existing waivers may be extended or other carriers may also implement waivers as they evaluate conditions in regards to their operations.

All travelers are advised to monitor airline flight status with regards to your specific itinerary. Today’s disruptions in the Northeast along with the fact that the upper Midwest is currently recovering from significant snow and ice from over the weekend, could cause issues for flights elsewhere.
