Slow-moving Tapah has been downgraded but is still impacting travel as areas of south and western Japan and coastal South Korean work to recover from the battering over the weekend. Tapah is trekking in a north easterly direction in the Sea of Japan and is expected to cross over northern Japan later on Monday and early Tuesday.

Airlines have issued waivers for Sept. 23 as follows:

American Airlines: Sapporo Chitose
ANA: Akita, Shonai, Niigata
JAL: Hakodate, Aomori, Akita

These waivers may be extended depending on the track and strength of the storm. Other carriers may also offer waivers. 

Check with your airline or your Adelman travel consultant for specific rebooking or cancelation options in regards to these waivers.

Travelers are advised to monitor airline flight status with regards to your specific itinerary.
